This car just keeps on going, though it's cranky, and I've done a lot to keep it going. I'm hoping to try a few new things this round of maintenance. Here's my ideas:

Replace both front shocks and springs due to some crunching.

Replace both front wheel bearings, though I haven't noticed any definitive issues with them. I've replaced both rear bearings, so I figure the fronts are also about due.

Replace 12v battery just due to the mileage age of the vehicle. There has been a drop in mpgs, but with this many miles, everything is a suspect.

Replace variable valve timing solenoid for the oil. Not sure why, but it's not a super expensive item, so why not...

Replace the EGR cooler. I can never get get it super cleaned out, so having a spare that I can spend time getting thoroughly cleaned would be good. I replaced the EGR valve previously.

Replace the ignition coils, just due to age and a shot in the dark.

Replace the wiper motor due to a verified problem of worn down carbon brushes on the motor.

Thoughts and suggestions? I'm more concerned about engine maintenance than comfort issues. Fuel injectors?

Just FYI, this things burns through oil, loses coolant, and I've used about 4 bottles of k-sealant over the past few years. When this car eventually dies, I'll probably go for a 2015 since they improved the head gaskets.

What year is it? That’s a lot of miles congratulations.
Don’t even know what to start with in terms of suggesting maintenance items. Hopefully somebody else will chime in. Maybe start with a compression test and a leak down test.

Are you on the original traction battery, what is your mileage per gallon? Is it still doing pretty good?

It's a '14, mpgs are around 41-45. I'll have to search on here for info on the traction battery, I'm not sure what that is...
It's doing ok-ish. Some knocking, some shuddering when it starts up, a coolant smell when I come to a stop and the heat is on, and of course a healthy appetite for oil.

    No point?

Check it with an electronic load tester?

    No point?

Try "Oxi-Clean Versatile Stain Remover" in tap water solution, as hot and concentrated as you can make it. Cork one end, fill with the solution, prop it up in a sink or bucket, let it work for an hour, rinse out and repeat. About five times and it should get shiny clean.

    No point?

Not they didn't. Maybe you're thinking of the revised piston rings??

How much oil? Consider head gasket replacement? Or just swap in another engine?
