Customer Ratings of Dealers in Southeast

    Anyone care to post their experiences with Southeastern Prius dealers? Am especially interested in Alabama, but Georgia, Mississippi, Florida Panhandle, Tennessee would interest me since I may have to look that far afield.

    Hey Marty,

    Good luck with your search. I had good luck with Toyota of Kingsport (TN). Was told 4-6 weeks. Actually took 5 weeks and 3 days. I think I did move ahead of two people who didn't want the options that were due in. I gave them an option of colors and packages that I would take. I priced the car with packages and options on the Toyota.com site, then called dealer. The quote matched exactly. All in all, they were up front with me.

    I had call backs from Beaman in Nashville and Toyota of Knoxville after I had put my deposit down in Kingsport. The salesmen at both dealers were personable and seemed good to work with without being high pressure.

    I'm sure I'll hear from others, too. Priuschat .com members are socially responsible, that's for sure!

    You had a dealer experience I hope to duplicate. And Kingsport is in such a lovely part of TN. I hope you also get to drive your Prius there, at least once in a while!

    Purchased mine a couple days ago in Hattiesburg, MS. The first time I went in, the salesman that approached me was very unpleasant to talk to as he was telling me the only way to get a Prius is to order one. The next time I went to the Hattiesburg dealership I had a different salesman. He was a little more friendly but knew little about the car. After purchasing the 07 Touring/Pack. 5 for $30,000 after tax, they had it delivered from Louisiana within two days. I drove the car home and noticed one of the headlights were out. So I am taking the car back to the dealer today to get that fixed. Overall, I would give the folks at Hattiesburg Toyota a 2 out of 10.
