Hello, I have a 2009 Prius & a 2007 Prius. I was able to bleed the brakes on the 2009. The 2007 has brakes but doesn't seem like power brakes. It has the Brake, ABS ,VSC (!) lights on the dash. I get a Failed message when I try to bleed the 2007 brakes. It ask me if I want to retry or exit. I have tried several times. So I know the software works. I wanted to try and bleed the brakes before possible changing the brake actuator.

Soooo, what codes do you have on the 2007 that's causing all the lights to come on? If there's a problem with the brake actuator assembly, maybe it CAN'T bleed the brakes. Or maybe having certain codes in the ecu will cause it to block some functions from working.

I have a couple different dongles to use with Techstream. I got the Tactrix because the Mini VCI was flaking out on my Gen 3, but later there was something I needed to do on a Gen 2 that I couldn't do with the Tactrix and could do with the Mini VCI. Weird. Needless to say, I still keep both dongles around.

I was able to fix the problem after getting textreen hooked up I got a stroke simulator code after chasing wires from inside the engine compartment to the ECU under the dash and back out into the engine department I found two wires chewed I'm guessing by a chipmunk or squirrel on a connector on the passenger side behind the window washer reservoir solder dose back together reconnected everything and cleared my alarms and I was able to bleed the brakes.
