    Hi I am newbie here,

Recently my engine was making noise and that escalated last week. I went to firestone and they said that an oil change was needed (I have changed it a month ago). Even after an oil change the engine still makes noise but less. Today I went to an engine shop nearby and they quoted that I NEED ENGINE REPLACEMENT and it is about $6000:(.

Any suggestion. I can't afford this much. what shall I do?

Take a drive to Buena Park and visit the team at Hybrid Pit.

They can have an engine rebuilt for you with 2015 parts.
Less than what you were qouted also dont forget to mention I sent you as you may get a deal.

I got a rebuilt engine from them and it feels good knowing its from them and I will take care of this engine from the start.

    1. How many miles on it?

    2. Has the EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) components and intake manifold ever been cleaned?

    3. Is it using much oil?

    4. Is the engine coolant level stable in the reservoir?

Regarding #2 above, do get that done, or you may be needing another engine in short order. Pretty sure Hybrid Pit would recommend that though.

If you haven't taken to ecomax off miramar & black mountain, give them a call & see what they'll charge or diagnose it as.
I think I paid either $250 or $350 for spark plugs & transmission fluid change by them. I just remember it was a lot less than what the dealer wanted.
