Replace CD player for additional storage

    Was wondering if anyone has removed the factory CD player and replaced it with an additional storage compartment. I haven't touched a CD in 5 years. I don't see that changing anytime soon. I do however use the dash storage below the CD player every day. I'd love to increase the space for that.

    If anyone has done this, can you recommend a product?

    If you're running the car into the ground it's no big deal, but if there's a trade-in in your future, a radio mod like that might be a negative mark. You gain a trivial amount of storage, and hamstring the audio system?
