My only issue 2022 Prius Prime , hesitating to order

    I thought that I read that the 670# restriction had to do with compressing the suspension beyond the point that the self leveling headlights could compensate. I could be wrong there. :)

    Subtract curb weight from the gross vehicle weight on the door jamb sticker.

    The Prius Prime is still the best choice in the price range of the base model in Canada at $38842 before tax but the upgraded version + technology package comes out to $44062 here.

    If I was paying the $44062 than the RAV4 Prime SE model makes more sense.

    Also once you are at $44000 + than it makes sense to look at Bev's such as VW ID4, Ioniq 5 etc. Only affordable BEV in 2022 if only going by price is the Nissan SV Leaf with smaller battery.

    Everyone here is correct in saying from a stop the EV power up to 30 mph is good.

    No 2022 Prius Prime here in Sudbury, same for 2022 RAV4 Prime not in stock, it was last August when I took 2021 Prius Prime for a test drive.

    Yes a lot of driving in Bethlehem. Some very very steep roads. Some so steep they are automatically closed in snow or icy weather because nothing can stop going down if it’s bad enough.

    I have a '20 Prius Prime LTD and a tuned Focus RS (about 400 HP) which does 0-60 in about 4.1 sec. I live in NorCal so the traffic can be quite heavy. I enjoy driving both cars but for different reasons. The acceleration of the Prius Prime is not very impressive but it is more than adequate for my driving style and requirements. The Focus RS acceleration is very impressive but it gets to the speed limit so quickly in 2nd gear that it is moot, given the presence of police and lack of places to really get out and open it up. The saving grace is that it has proper brakes and can stop as quickly as it accelerates. It preforms decently on the track but I wish it had a little more power. The Prius Prime brakes are also impressive in emergency situations so no complaints there.
