I charge at work and obviously there are not enough chargers for everyone so etiquette allows someone to unplug from a car that is fully
charged. Is there a way I can quickly determine if my car is fully charged before someone unplugged it? Right now I have to turn the car on and check the screen.

On my 2018, the Entune app can give me that info. I don’t if that feature is available on other years.

Entue PRIME App was discontinued on 2020 Limited model. I don't think there is any easy way to check the charge status remotely. If you know that the charger is L2, then you can safely bet it is fully charged after ~2 hours, or with 120V L1 after ~6 hours.

Yeah I am quite disappointed AFTER purchasing the car that it does not support remote app. Toyota misled me. Oh well.

Even then, the app only worked for the advanced trim, which would be the "Limited" in today's nomenclature.

Yeah I am trying to figure this out as well. I have to use the trip button to see the miles left while driving instead of it being on the HUD like before. I cannot get the Entune 3.0 App to show me how long it takes to charge and cant set up push notifications telling me it is charged. This is the only negative, but i will have to deal with it until i can figure out how to fix it or if this has to be fixed by Toyota...

Sorry to disappoint you, but there is no phone app to show charging status or control other features. Support was dropped by Toyota for 2020 I believe.

There is, but it doesn't tell you if it just started or is almost done. HOWEVER, there are (at least on my Prime) three blue LEDs on the dash in front of the passenger seat that blink in sequence to give you a vague idea of the state of charge while it's charging.

thanks! o/p is asking how to know if done, without getting into the car and starting. (even though his title is less specific)

    so that should work?

I went back and reread the OP. More specifically, he wants to know if it finished before someone unplugged it w/o having to start the car. The only way I can think of is to plug it back in and then, if the charging schedule is in the way, unplug and replug it to make it charge immediately to see if it does charge. Then check the indicator lights.

Or enable the lock so people can't unplug it without the key fob.

OP - you could leave a note on the car/charger.
When you plug it in, check the recharge time, then write on a note to "Please do not unplug before: ____" or "You may use charger after ___"
Something to that affect might be very effective.

yeah, so there is no way I can think of to check the car's charge percentage when it is unplugged without turning on the car. The 3 lights on the dash don't light up after the charger is unplugged. I suppose I could set the car to automatically unlock the charger port when finished charging, but I don't feel comfortable doing that at work for a weird reason.

Had to update Entune App recently to Toyota App which is totally useless except if you need a manual or schedule a service. Purchased car with standard feature with Entune App listed - isn't taking it away misleading and false advertising? Or at least replace with something useful that at least tell us how much battery is charged. Also, a fee of $80/year for more features.

On my 2020 and 2021 Limited the Toyota app shows charge level (via blue bars) and displays a guess-o-meter value underneath in "Battery Information" even when not plugged in. Select "Advanced Settings" then, on the "Remote Charge" screen select the refresh icon Untitled-2.jpg to update the results.

I might be missing the point or question here, but this works for me.

    Connected/Remote Connect is only for 2021+ I think. I have a 2020.

Did you have to pay a fee of $80/year to get this feature?

I have a 2020, which does not have Connected Services. I think it's only 2021+
