There is an ECO mode and other modes in the A/C system, depending on a few things and settings there might be a setting that got turned on that could be causing that. I just noticed that there was a setting that only the driver gets air. Might just check settings to make sure they are all good, other than that it could be a door in A/C system not working right.

There is only one fan and he said it was working.

i think Bisco meant the radiator/A/C condenser element fans at the front of the car. Those won't be on when A/C is on if the freon charge has been lost. The compressor won't turn on either. I don't believe there is a sight glass anymore in the lines to confirm freon level. OP said it was blowing hot, but was that the same temperature air as outside air? It is Florida, but was the outside air warm? You can get heated A/C (dried) air in the car with the temperature turned up. That is about the extent of my postulating. Minus an obvious leak in the condenser due to salt corrosion or stone nick (oil spot) I would be taking it to the dealer for proper diagnosis.

    “blows cold when sitting still”

Doesn’t that kind of blows the condenser fan idea?

AAaack, missed that very important point. Clueless, I am now...

Back in the old vacuum motor days, that could be an indication of a leak somewhere. It's all stepper motors and fuzzy logic now. Could be a misinformed blend door or some such.
