I bought a 240v cord since my electric company will reimburse me for the whole thing. It is my first night using it. I have my car scheduled to finish charging at a certain time every morning. Will the car know charging doesn’t take as long now and start charging later each morning? Or will it start at the time it thinks it needs for a 120v cord and finish early?

Yes, the car knows it finishes quicker as soon as it registers 240v on the EVSE. The time to full charge displayed on the dash should be ~2hr. If you set the schedule for the time of departure (not Charging Start time), then it will start accordingly later than when it was on the 120v EVSE and finish before the set "departure" time.

Thank you. When I plugged it in last night and started charging immediately it said 1 hour and I had probably only used 20-25% of my battery so I’m not sure it was working. I don’t have a way to see how long it took to charge without walking out to the car every time.

the estimated charging time is not accurate, i'm sure it's working fine. it either charges the car or it doesn't.

keep in mind, the charger is in the car. the evse is just a control system

With "Charge Now", that would be an appropriate display and response. I am sure if you used the schedule, the charging would have started ~4 later than when you used the 120v EVSE.

Your profile says you have a 2020 Prime Advanced. Started on 2020 and up, they changed the trim levels. So, that should be 2020 Prime Limited. If it is pre-2019 Prime Advanced tri, or if your is any trim level in the 2020 model, I believe it comes with the Safety Connect telematics. IIRC, with Safety Connect (and its Connected Services) enabled, you can still use the Toyota App to check the charge level remotely on your phone?

That being said, I don't use Toyota App, and I opted out of the Safety Connect. The app is buggy and there has been a lot of reports by users on PC not being able to use the functionality. A remote charge monitor is one of them. So, you may or may not be able to check the charge level using the Toyota App.

Check your time & date settings on the car. If the car's time or date is set incorrectly; your scheduled charging won't function predictability. If you don't have an activated schedule; the default is charge now.
When you first plug in the car; it does a current/voltage check to set charge parameters - after about 30 seconds; if you open any doors -it'll tell you how long it's going to take to full charge.

    Hope this helps....
