Is it okay to just replace bank 1 that is throwing a code or should I really consider replacing both banks at the same time?

Also are they both the same part?

Maybe clean and inspect both of them first and then when code comes up again decide?

I could replace bank 1 and then clean the old one for later use? ....[as needed]

How would I clean it off?

The downstream 02 sensor would be the one causing the code. It's fairly cheap for the OEM Denso on Amazon, less than $50.

But most of the time, the code is caused by a bad Catalytic converter

Code says bank 1 upstream...p2196....also others have had the same issue after replacing an engine.

Is it correct there are 2 upstream sensors and 1 downstream on the 2010s..?

I'm way more willing to believe someone's claim of a faulty upstream sensor compared to someone's claims of a faulty downstream sensor.

don't be surprised if changing one or both don't fix the problem.
There is only one up and one down.
