Thank you CR94! Do you know if there’s a way to test and service the inverter without replacing it? Most people on this thread are indicating there’s no reason to think the inverter is dead, since the car still drives, but it sounds like you’ve heard differently and I want to be as exhaustive as possible in gathering info. So any additional insight would be appreciated!

At this point I would probably r/r the inverter pump, clear the codes and see what happens. If that does not resolve the issue, I would consider having an independent shop install a used inverter - there are plenty of those around.

The dealer probably recommended the Inverter Repair as their CYA, to prepare you for the worst case scenario.

Thank you Critic! I have an appt with a private repair shop tomorrow and they said they'd replace the inverter pump without even doing their own diagnostic. Some of the private shops said they wouldn't do anything without their own diagnostic. I am reluctant to pay for that again after already paying $140 for the dealer to tell me the same codes my long-time mechanic told me for free. Again, thank you!

I have this same issue but with only the P0A93 code, i swapped out the pump with a new one and flushed the system. Cleared the error code, and when i went to bleed the system by starting it nothing happened. Except now i have the christmas tree on the dash with "check hybrid system" and it wont let me put the car in gear. the motor under the hood wont do anything. i have reset the batteries multiple times and checked all fuses. Any suggestions? I thought it was odd if something else was wrong it wouldnt trip any other codes.

What trouble codes do you have now?

There is sort of a PriusChat tradition of doing work on the HV system and not fully seating the handle of the orange service plug when putting it back. That gives you a P0A0D code and doesn't let you start the car.

I don’t have any codes after I cleared the original one. I’ve done the 12v reset 3 different times and reset the orange handle probably 10x. I have tried running new scan tool tests and it says I have zero codes to report

What scan tool are you using? Sounds like there are codes it's not reporting.
