I look at Mendel's photos and think "I only just recently managed to fashion a joint that finally fits well between my miter saw's sawdust gozouta and my shop-vac hose". (More like, it was fashioned by pulling the original joint off a smaller hose, and stretching that hose end itself down onto the saw's gozouta.)

I’m just relying on the stock dust bag, which seems to catch maybe 50%. I do cutting near the garage door, then get out the leaf blower afterwards. Hey, sweeping compound.

I suspect that Amazon USA links might be blocked in other countries.

I'm fairly well trained by this point; I look at the extra white space and think "yup, bet that's an Amazon link."

I'm sorta floor jack shopping, not for myself, but our son could use something more substantial. His Mazda CX-5 has a way-back front/central jacking point.

Seems like a common "feature" in 3 ton rated floor jacks these days, is the handle socket snaps up to vertical if the handle pulls out, which can happen if it's not solidly locked in. Then you've got a struggle, maybe needing to crawl under (when only the jack is supporting the weight), wrestle the handle socket down and get the handle back in.

Also, with deeply recessed jacking points, you want a handle that starts moving the cradle up even when the handle is near-horizontal. Hard to find reviews that mention this.

Anyone have opinions, a deep-reach floor jack that works well for them, and is still readily available?

I don't think you'll find a floor jack to reach there:(.

    But there are different solutions;).

One where you might have "jack envy" :ROFLMAO::LOL::ROFLMAO::LOL::

Maybe your son could treat his "mechanic" to a nice Christmas gift(y).

Well, my 15+ year old Samona 3 Ton Jack does it quite handily, but I can't find it, or similar. The lever point of the handle is low, and it starts building pressure with the handle down quite low. But I can't find it, or similar.

    Older style mechanism maybe:

Harbor Freight Daytona 3 Ton Long Reach Low Profile Professional Rapid Pump Floor Jack.

All of their jacks say Low Profile but only one model adds “long reach”

I've had one of those windshield cleaning paddles for a few years. Finally occurred to me, to leave it in the car. There's one shorefront location we often park, and coming back out to the car on a cold evening, the windshield's usually all misted over on the inside.

It drives me nuts, sitting for 10 minutes or more, with the engine running and H/V system defogging, painfully slow. This does the trick in about 10 seconds, a real gas saver:

That does look like about the only practical way to wipe the inside of the windshield, sloping the way it does so far forward over the dash where it can barely be reached. That or a small windshield-wiping drone.
