Bumperplugs.com - Right color for the glossy black part of the bumper?

    That's exactly what I have suggested to OP. It cost less than $20 in materials and less than 1 hour for labor DIY. Easy fix. But somehow, OP thinks it is not a viable solution. Oh well.

    I was actually looking into this earlier. Someone posted their DIY on another forum. I'd have to sand the holes down with three different grit sandpaper first since they protrude a little. Then I'd have to fill the holes with bondo, let dry and sand some more. Then apply some paint that closely matches that plain plastic, possibly sand more, add more paint, let dry then another coat of paint, and so on until I think the paint is good.

    I'd be afraid of messing up the acrylic around those holes even more.

    Then others said that bondo when dried is porous and could expand / contract in damp then dry weather if exposed to moisture in the back-side of the hole.

    I'll just take the simple route:
    - cut the protruding plastic carefully with an xacto knife blade
    - find some touch-up or paint for plastic that closely matches that plain plastic
    - paint over the scratches and edges of the hole I cut with knife
    - insert bumper plugs

    I have a question - what if i bought the 2022 one without sensors 5310147150 and used the existing parts?
    I cracked my "glass jaw" just around the emblem and didn't want to spend a ton on parts...

    You may break a few clips, in process of removing them, so there may be a few other parts, but otherwise, you wouldn't need any other parts other than the grille assembly part you mentioned, if that is the right one.

    Just one caution is that the price you see on that site is just for the item. You should try going through the purchase process (putting in the cart and providing your zip code etc.) to get the shipping estimate. Often what seems to be a bargain turns out to be very expensive after adding the shipping cost.

    thanks for the info. Yeah as long as those sensors aren't connected to the glass jaw part it should be good, right? because the original poster. For features that use sensors, i have the cruise control and the collision warning and lane departure. Do those features have sensors that are in the grill and or connected to the glass jaw?

    The radar sensor for the cruise and emergency stop is located behind the Toyota emblem. It is not part of the grille assembly, but I think you will have to detach and reattach the sensor harness in order to replace the grille. You will definitely have to remove and reattach the Toyota emblem. I believe it is just glued on, so you may have to buy a special adhesive for that.

    The sonar sensors integrated into the grille are the parking and blind-spot sensors. If your trim is LE, then you don't have those sensors and need the grille without sensors.

    had dealer remove the front plate and plug the holes before i bought. they appear to have used some sort of plug they had on hand. it actually looks pretty good.

    So i have a 2022 Prime base model, can i get away with the one w/o the pre crash, and save a few hundred bucks? Are those sensors attached to the glass jaw? in other words, would i just be able to take the new glass jaw off of the new part ? see photo

    I am not quite sure what the parts description means by "w/o pre-crash" and "with pre-crash". All trims of PPs come with a pre-crash sensor if what the pre-crash means Pre-Collision System which is a part of the TSS that works by using a front-facing camera and laser behind the front emblem. I think it is an error in parts description writing. It should be with or without parking sensors, which your LE trim does not have.
