The weir thing is that the traffic flow seemed to be working the second day after they updated the app, so hopefully they are still working on it. You can tell it's working by the change of color and flow arrows on the screen as well as the mini "3 car" box on the top right, just below the GPS signal indicator. Still not working again today. Frustrating. I really hope they restore this functionality.

Over a week later and traffic flow still isn't working. I wish they would go back to the old app until they can release the new one and have it actually function properly.

Does the Toyota App at least say it's connected?
I'm too lazy to go out to the car right now but when things are working the button may say CONNECTED maybe not.
    Update:
I went to the car and tried it. I have mine set for HD traffic so I can't speak to that.
I never got it to say connected but fiddled with it by pressing the CONNECT button, dismissing the popup and pressing the button again. I was connected inspite of the button saying otherwise at least enough to transfer my saved locations which weren't transferred previously. Hope this helps.

It doesn't say connected anymore like it used to when you opened it up and it paired with the car. I will try that button you show. I just noticed that those services were listed this morning.

Very Happy to report that the App seems to be working and pushing actual traffic flow back to the vehicle. Hooray! Let's hope it keeps working (fingers crossed!) tempImageJAXChP.png

With my 2017 Advanced, the traffic info on the big screen comes from HD Radio. Is this something that has changed with Entune 3 in the more recent models, so it uses an Internet connection?

Yep, it uses both Data from your bluetooth connection and the Toyota App and also HD Radio. With the Toyota App on and connected to the car, granted the app is working properly, you will also receive Traffic Data very quickly (usually within a couple of minutes).

Fresh update this morning to V 2.0.1 Climate & charge info seem to be working. Eco History/Ranking no longer freezing the app (though they don't have data input to them yet). I don't see any mention of TPMS.

Climate control still not working for me. No matter what I set it to it still will only go to 65. Still no notifications like if I left something in the back seat, a window down, if a door is opened, etc. No TPMS. No charging control. The “team” working on my case called and said they’d fixed the climate control but there’s been no change but they said they’re still working on it. I can see my odometer, charge level, eco history, and ranking….that’s it…nothing interactive whatsoever. At this point I’m so frustrated that I’m not holding my breath. I’m beginning to wonder if since the previous owner let the remote services expire if it messed up the cellular thing bc it seems my car can’t communicate anything to anything except the SOS button.

I have a 2018 PP Advanced and even with the old Entune App I never got TPMS, Doors/Windows notifications. I did get email notifications from Entune for Charging started/ended but now that is gone. FWIW I thought I lost the start Climate Control in the new App but that was on me. I leave the car unlocked in the garage now to minimize 12v battery usage and remote climate start requires the car be locked. Once I did that I can start/stop the climate control remotely but I haven't used the temperature set option ever so I can't speak to that.

Update! This morning, the Nav system asked to do an update for Entune, which I promptly did. Traffic Flow and Data working again!
    Hopefully it stays working ;-)

To the best of my knowledge, the 2017 Advanced has never supported TPMS or door locking or door/window notifications. At least, it never did on mine in the old Entune App. From what I can tell, Toyota hacked the old Entune 2.0 Advanced Apps (that is, the telematics apps) into the Toyota App even though the 2017 Advanced does not support Remote Connect. They then deprecated the Entune App. Only models that support Remote Connect have those fancy features, and I don't recall which year that was for the Prime. The Advanced Apps were a Prime Advanced special. Now the telematics stuff has been generalized across many Toyota models under the "Remote Connect" label.

I don't think that the telematics software in the car itself has changed. This is not to be confused with the apps you see on the car display. I am talking about the software that interacts with the Safety Connect cell phone and talks to a Toyota server somewhere to provide things like charge management and climate control. I think that whatever remote functions that module supports has not changed. Which makes the fact that the vehicle finder function still works just fine on the old Entune app (for those who avoided getting updated to the version that doesn't do anything) but does not work on the new and improved Toyota App so annoying.

Update today to 2.0.2, no major improvements I can see.

The iOS (iPhone) version? just got that too, and likewise don't see any difference. The Android version seems to come out a couple of weeks after the iOS version. Still no vehicle finder/last parked location for my 2017 Advanced, which I had with the old Entune app.
