The battery is good, why make it an issue?

it probably ships from a warehouse where no one is going to check it. you would have to contact optima and ask where you can buy a recent one. but jc says your amazon warranty is golden, so i'd stay with what you have.

BOSHE (sp?) has a 4 year fully replaceable Prius battery for about $150 (watch for sales) at PEP BOYS

Hey I just got 2007 Prius and I’m getting red triangle sign .
It has 79000, hybrid battery is perfect,
New tire (40psi) in all of’em.
I got checked Out by authorized mechanic and he is my friend
The sign was saying that 12v battery need to be change.
So I changed it but after two days it’s giving me same sign .
Would you please give any me suggestions.!
    Thanks
Happy to be here .(new Prius owner)

Have you checked the engine oil level (and the other under hood fluids as well?) There are very few things on a Gen2 Prius that can trigger a Master Warning Light (red triangle of death) without setting codes somewhere. One of those is low engine oil pressure.

Did your mechanic give you a copy of the diagnostic code scan? I expect a high end Autel scantool to be able to read all 16+ ecu's on a Prius. I like to know that the scan looked at every ecu, and yes, each one didn't have codes.
