I would like to get my brakes bled, I had a mishap today changing lug studs and pressed the brake pedal with my caliper removed. I bled the old fashioned way but I can hear my pump cycling and I want to get them bled professionally. I don't want to go to the dealer so I am looking for local options, I know there is Greg's Japanese auto but I'm wondering if there are any other shops that you have had a good experience with. Thank you in advance. And if this is the wrong place for this, please let me know where I should have posted this. Thanks.

I know, that's why I want a mechanic to do it. I have a cheap Amazon cable for Techstream but I don't know that it will work for bleeding brakes.

Due to price concerns, or? Doesn't hurt to phone them, get a quote.

Addendum: @PriusCamper is an independent mechanic in the Pacific Northwest.

Thank you for the reply Mendel. My local dealership already tried to fleece me once on this car when I went it to get a diagnostic on my traction battery, inverter, a coolant leak and traction control light. The only positive thing I have to say is that the tech actually fixed the traction control issue, it was an issue with the wiring for the right front wheel speed sensor but when I was called they didn't mention that it had been repaired and tried to get me to authorize 3 additional hours labor for further troubleshooting of the system. They also never checked for the coolant leak, I don't think it's head gasket related because I don't have any of the symptoms I have been reading about though I have not done a block test yet.

See Dan, who owns Community Automotive (206-246-7500) in Burien, WA.(14803 Ambaum Blvd SW, Burien, WA 98166) He is independent ASE Master and maintains fleets of Prius' used as taxi and ride share around SeaTac. Burien Toyota is just a couple minutes away, and they have parts and can do any factory related work. Six excellent years of Dan working on a variety of cars, but especially my 2010 Prius.
