Prius 2012 V Strange Engine Sputter during Acceleration?

    I’ve recently had the engine swapped out for my Prius V, but have lately ran into an issue of the engine sputtering during acceleration at both low and high speeds. My MPG seems to be the exact same but the noise (video attached) is very loud at high acceleration and only happens occasionally.
    I almost had a heart attack thinking my cat was stolen but that’s not the case.
    I’m at a lost any suggestions?

    I'm planning on calling tomorrow morning but I'm unsure if they would consider it their issue just because it could be something relating to emissions system.

    did they clean the egr circuit properly?

    how many miles on this engine?

    is it a quality shop? do you think the put the proper plugs and etc in? vleaned the throttle body and maf?

    While I agree with you in principle; it shouldn't stumble like that while relearning.

    Was this a quality rebuilt engine or just a used engine; you swapped into the Prius? Do you know it's a good engine or did you just take someones word for it? Check the oil and coolant levels - there may just be a loose connection/wire somewhere.
    A friend of mine had the top-end of her engine redone. We were going on a long trip, so I just did a quick once over. Got a couple of blocks when I noticed the cruise control wasn't working. Unplugged it, sprayed the connectors and pushed them back in. Didn't have an issue on the 1500 mile circuit.
