So I replaced all 3 of my pumps to get rid of this 2601 code (Which is still there, I am bleeding every day for a week and have Relays on the way. The Paperclip method verifies the pump does work, and I can hear it working on startup. I do also however hear bubbling when sitting in the drivers seat) I drained all my coolant, have been bleeding it for days, but I have realized a fairly major issue. I cant for the life of me find a Funnel that will fit snug enough into the Radiator Neck so that coolant isnt seeping around the funnel and coming to the top of the Radiator (and then into the overflow tube, then into the reservoir).

What do you guys suggest for a funnel? The one I have is a blue one by Hopkins Flo Tool. They say to use the yellow, but it doesnt fit at all in the plastic Neck. Its very loose and allows instant access to the overflow tube at the top of the Radiator Neck.

Also, considering every video I watch on this very casually puts a funnel in the neck and im ensuring its very tight, what could be a possible cause of this coolant coming up around the edges? My overflow Resevoir tank is completely full at this point from all the coolant coming up and into the Reservoir.

Ive lost 1000 hairs trying to figure out why my Prius specifically behaves differently from every video ive watched. Its been fun.

    Much love,

This is the one I use and it has a fitting and cap combination that fits the Prius radiator filler neck perfectly.

    Lisle 24680 Spill-Free Funnel

These can be bought on Amazon also.

PS, one of the fittings can be used to seal around the mouth of the overflow canister to pressurize it and drain it back into the radiator filler.

When running cars (in past) after coolant change, I would just stand at the front with the radiator cap off, with a container of some sort and a baster. If the coolant welled up I’d baste off a bit, transfer to the container. If the level dropped I’d return coolant to the radiator, top it up, with the same implements.

The simple method is to use the UView Airlift system, That thermos is exceptionally difficult to get the air out of in a Gen 2 Prius.

Since I got mine, there are lots pf clones available in the $60-80 range, Eveb Harbor Freight sells one.
