In California, we get our first allocation of the Prime revealed in about a week. One car per dealer to start with for cars arriving next month. Regionally, Toyota's focusing on prioritizing the first few states to get the cars as regionally, LA, SF, and a few other regional areas that support and require ZEV flow.

I've been taking a list of folks wanting cars and expressing interest in certain specific models and features. We won't be getting a lot of this model at first, as there are only 1200 units initially and those are spread out over 6 large regions. Seeing more cars and a full pipeline will take months. I think we are looking at October/November for any significant supply to happen in any state, even CALIF...

If you have a request in with me, please know this will be slow going for allocations due to COVID build restrictions and parts availability to build cars.

I got an SE allocated first in pearl red with $41,261 MSRP and options/packages below. Like most everyone else, do not expect to pay MSRP on the first few months worth of cars. Production is severely limited.

2T All Weather Floor Liners and Cargo Liner
    PC Special Color
    3P Paint Protection Film
    3T Roof Rack Cross Bars
    D5 Door Edge Guard
    EF Rear Bumper Applique
    GD Frameless Homelink Mirror
    GN Spider Cargo Net
    MF Mudguard
    WL Wheel Lock

    Hi Dianne,

Do you know if there will be any new/different trim levels on the RAV4 Prime for 2022?

What’s the current state of RAV4 pricing? Are the non-hybrids also stop-start engines? Thanks.

They are however push to start, also a downer for the SO.

Pretty much getting to be the norm these days but, I think the entry level gasser, LE trim, is old fashioned twist key to start.

BTW, I wouldn't call the hybrids "start/stop" because that generally refers to abrupt starts from a conventional starter motor, not the seamless spinning of the gas engine without fuel and then powering it up. According to the spec sheet on the Toyota USA site, some gasser models do have start/stop, XLE and XLE do, LE , Adventure and Limited don't appear to

We test drove an LE, which wasn’t start-stop. Guess we should try another, but the pushbutton start and seating may make it a no go for the SO.

So, did the LE have pushbutton start? What other vehicles have you found without pushbutton? And how much compromise in other features is SO willing to make in order to avoid pushbutton?

The LE did have pushbutton start. We don't car shop but every ten years or more, so I don't have a sense of the landscape. Ultimately, comfort will outweigh key versus pushbutton, possibly hybrid versus pure ICE

How is the delivery going on the Rav4 Prime? I can't even seem to find a prius Prime right now. Maybe after Nov elections things will change.

It’s global supply chain and to some degree changed trade policy.

    thanks.
i can see how prices might be affected, but not supply. if anything, lower costs might result in higher demand.
aside from that, one party put in the tariffs, the other has yet to remove them, who will do that after the election?
