Well, as long as the cheap counterfeit you bought was an "XHorse" "Mini VCI" like the listing you posted, you probably didn't contribute to the demise of XHorse. As I understand it, the counterfeiting drove them out of their own business quite a long time ago, so unless it was that long ago when you bought yours, don't sweat it; the damage was already done. There just isn't any such thing as a non-counterfeit "XHorse" "Mini VCI" anymore to be bought at any price.

The key thing is more, please don't buy or post links to cheap counterfeits of other J2534 dongles whose real manufacturers are still at work trying to survive making real ones.
