I live in Chattanooga TN and have a 2009 base Prius. In the last year I have had the hybrid battery, 12 volt battery, and a couple tires replaced. Hybrid battery was a Green Bean rebuild. Red triangle of death is back on along with CE light. I have a coolant preheat defect code, sensor has been replaced-didn't help. I'm ready to get rid of it and will take offers. 215k on the clock, a/c works. Was thinking of selling as a parts car or just an outright sale. If anyone is interested, let's hear from you. Hybrid battery can have ownership transferred once. No low ballers, batteries and catalytic converter alone are worth 2000-3000 and the interior is fairly nice. Dark blue color, needs respray-clear coat is gone.

If you got the warranty get the battery replaced and sell the car.

Scrap the car, or go screw someone on facebook, or someone looking at a car classified site.

For others here, the car is very likely a POS - AVOID!
Imho, the engine is very likely trashed.

With new & used car prices today, if the car needed less than ~$1K in repairs, any reasonable person would either fix the car and keep it, or fix the car and sell it for much more.
Imho, the seller is either a fool for selling an easily fixable car (that would be worth a lot more, if fixed), or the seller is trying to screw the buyer.
Either way, both the car and buyer should be avoided.

    Or, did I miss something???
    :)

Btw, when I said "fix the car", I meant either DYI, independent shop, dealer, etc.
Today, used car prices, for compact and gas efficient cars, are outrageously high.

Fwiw, I got my car about 2 months ago, after an ~4-6 month wait.
I also have a few friends that are on wait lists for the Rav4 Prime(plug-in), Prius Prime(plug-in), and other vehicles.
So, I'm extremely familiar with both the new and used car markets today.
