Hi all - I got a used 2017 Prius Two last year and it's been great, except today... I noticed these rather large brown stains above the rear doors on the ceiling, plus a few tiny rust-colored spots nearby.

My first thought was water damage. It's a little odd, because I'm in Southern California and it's summer - so it hasn't rained in months. The car DOES get condensation on it overnight. I don't drive every day, so at most, this could have been happening over the course of a week before I saw it.

Could it be the seal that runs along the roof?? The car does sit outside in the sun all day because I don't have a garage. Just wondering if this has happened to anyone else and if so, what you did about it? I had a 2007 before this, and nothing like that ever happened with that car. Any thoughts appreciated!!

Or it could be leaking from the shark fin antenna.

The locations are consistent with the condensation problem for which Toyota Canada issued a service bulletin, discussed in my 2018 posting TSB (Canada): Condensation Dripping from the Headliner.

Oh that is super helpful to know! Thank you! I was just so puzzled because we haven't had any problems when it rained. I read your other post. Hoping maybe an autobody shop can help me with the repair...

Actually cleaning it is gonna be a pain in the nice person. Another forum user scrubbed the headliner trying to clean a stain and it came apart.

Yikes. Yeah, I'm not looking forward to cleaning it.

A small update: I haven't gotten the car to an autobody shop yet, but I've noticed some faint staining on the rear passenger seats, too. Wth. I'm totally flummoxed as to how a little condensation could be causing this much of a problem.
