    Hi All,

I have a 2015 Toyota Prius with a blower motor that does not work. I took the blower motor out which has 3 pins connection negative, positive and one middle pin. I connected the blower to 12 V battery but it seems to be not working. I only connected the negative and positive, not sure about if the middle one is needed. I also checked the connection to the blower from the car and it seems that there is no power coming to it at all. Any idea how to diagnose this, or to start.

    Thanks

Which blower motor? Itf it's the one for the hybrid battery you can use Hybrid Assistant app via a bluetooth OBD2 reader to power up the fan to confirm it works.

find the fuse and see if it blew. if not, check for voltage. if there's voltage, then you have awiting issue in between, or from the fan switch, or bad switch

I checked for fuses for this fan, but none seems to be there

In the Repair Manual (more info), see the topic Vehicle Interior: Heating/Air Conditioning: Air Conditioning System: Blower Motor Circuit.
The third terminal (SI) on the connector is the blower motor speed control signal, and yes, it’s needed for the blower motor to run.
It’s the HTR fuse, a 50 A fuse element in a 50 A/30 A/30 A fusible link (part number 90982-08300) in the engine compartment. In the Owner’s Manual (PDF), see “Checking and replacing fuses,” pp. 466–477; the HTR fuse is item ① in the illustration on page 469.

Turn it on high. If it doesn't come on, give the blower housing a good thump with your hand/fist and see if it comes on.
