EE6227E0-5A1F-4331-89D4-2D60610231D5.jpeg Driving back from performing at the home Phillies game, someone decided they wanted to occupy my spot in the left lane. Instinticually I swerved and front drivers side hit median.
    Totaled.

I got 2.5 years and 40k out of it. Looking for a replacement now. I’ll post some pics.

OHHH - I have the original OEM Toyota Prime charge cord for sale as well as the rear privacy cover - as I need to pay a deductible.

I saw brand new the charge cords go for $600-$700 ish - so I was thinking I’d let mine for $250 or $275 shipped. It’s perfect shape and never left my house ever. The rear tonneau cover I figure $30. Or so. I’m in eastern Pennsylvania.

pm me. I’ll post pics of everything then :(

Or the car then. It sucks. Worked so hard for that.

As someone who totaled their 2017 when it hit a steel block on the freeway (oil pan was munched), I can feel your pain.

My best advice is if you still have access to the car make sure to strip out all of the accessories you can find.

Forgot about the battery lol. Definitely took my floor mats, trunk mat and extra key fob. Also took my spare HOV stickers.. but that's another story.

Insurance took it. Lol. I did get my belongings tho.
I have a unused key fob too from it. Can it be converted for another Prime? Never used once

I'm sorry to hear about your car.
    :-(

It needs to be re-initialized/made virgin.
There are people on ebay that can do that.
    Iirc, it's ~$30 with s&h???

Note: Virgin keys can be used with only specific models/years/?trims?.
Yes, it can be involved. That's why on ebay, when you buy virgin smart keys, you often need (should) send your VIN (or a VIN of a similar year, model, trim).

I got a new virgin key, from a Toyota dealership, for ~$90 with s&h. It didn't come with the manual door key.
The manual door keys come blank, are separate, and need to be cut by capable locksmiths (using another key as master).
Some Locksmiths can also program a new virgin smart key, as long as you bring a "master key". Iirc, all programmed Prius Prime keys are master keys.
There are a limited number of keys that can be programmed per car at a time. So, you can't program 50 keys for a Prius Prime, and have them all work at the same time. :D
The max number of keys that can be programed into the car at a time, may be ???5???.
So, if you have 6+ drivers in the family, and you want them to all have their own key, then you're SOL. :)
Actually, they can all have their own key. It's just that all of the keys won't work. :) :)

To replace all lost keys (program a new unique vehicle key-code), that always requires a code (obtained from Toyota). At most Dealerships, mechanics need an additional signature sign-off.
That's also an $extra$ charge, and may require proof of vehicle ownership.
I don't know where the non-techstreams scanners get codes. Or, if they can even get codes for newer vehicles.

Good luck on you new car hunt!

    Thanks.oh if I only knew what’s coming.
I brought up the issue of when a RAV4 Prime would be around and my Toyota sales guys literally laughed at me til he realized I was serious.

If anyone needs a spare or secondhary home charging cord, let me know.

Sorry for your loss. Make sure they give you market price for it. It sucks to buy a car right now. Are you thinking about replacing it with the same or something else?

Something less expensive for now but that gets good fuel economy although most likely an ICE.

Oh. Here’s a pic or two at the collision center. It looks worse than the photos. E81D578C-EA65-4288-9B3F-F4CD797E56B8.jpeg 613F11C8-693B-4E5D-B59B-69713EC9D018.jpeg

It’s strange bc the interior, rear, entire passenger side and hood and roof / trunk are untouched.

I learned the hardway. Alway impact the other vehicle not the immovable object. Got hit and pushed into a pole. Insurance adjuster said the other vehicle took most of the momentum and the pole did only a bit of damage. But it also placed blame on the other driver. Car was totalled.
I'M Interested in your Charger. PM me.

Happy you are not hurt. Cars can be replaced.

My shoulder hurt from the seatbelt and I smacked left side of my face against the closed window :( nothing bad tho. Considering.

I think from going to so many SCCA events on real tracks I developed the habit over a decade of avoiding other cars at all cost in the rare occasion it came close. Ugh.

    I will PM you now
