I searched the threads and I didn't see anything.

Where should I white the aftermarket heated Seats for power? I can install the button and the seat pads but where is a good place to get power that turns off with the key?

    Thanks!

    Jim,
I installed heated seats in both our prii. I used a add a tap to the fuse box for switched power. I'm not sure which fuse I used but I did meter it and made sure it was a switched power connection. I'll take a picture the next time I am home.

Yes please post a pic, if you used the add a tap, were you able to put the cup fuse panel cover on still?

no. The cover would not go back on so I just left it off. I get back to my car at the airport tomorrow afternoon. I'll try and remember to post. In my car I mounted the switches on the outside plastic of the seat itself. When I did my wife's car she wanted them on the left side of the dash panel on the drivers side. In hindsight I should have done that for mine as well. I just turn mine on and off by feel. It works fine. I used the Doorman seat heaters from Amazon. $40 each and well worth it. Its actually too hot on high for me even in Colorado

A good question about wiring a seat heater would be "how many amps does it use?".

Didnt the Japanese market Gen2 come with heated seats? The wiring could well be in there ready to tap into maybe.

    Hey Jim!
Where did you get your seats? Did you have perform any fancy electronic updates so the seats are recognized by the computer system?
