    For most people these are like 6-year tires in the States I live in in three they'll look gray instead of black and then I want to be changing them to black so I just buy lesser wear out warranty tires and change them earlier so they're always nice and black not gray turning silver not cool even on my Prius

    Funny thing is about 5 yrs ago the hi end tyres would stay black 6 years . Now it seems like 3. And let me tell ya my vehicle rarely sits in sun even in NC where I live. If in central NC you see a gold 09 parked all kinds of ways . It's mine

    The discoloration is called ‘tire blooming’ where the antioxidants in the rubber migrate to the surface of the tire and react with oxygen turning the surface brown. It could be the cheaper tires have less antioxidant than the expensive ones. What Armor All is for.

    Coatings make the brown a almost brick color . I just change more often like the Autocross guys do. NC is real heat . Cali and places are just starting to warm up with all the changes going on .

    It seems to me that using tire shine on a regular basis would be cheaper and safer than buying cheap tires.....just sayin.
