Of course i know these three steps, but the orange plug seems to have an extra .25 inch it could be pushed down but wont. I have 2 plugs so i know its not the plug itself. Also steps 1 and 2 seem to be combined, in that to push it in fully, the lever turns itself, and i dont recall it being that way before, and i have a fair amount of experience with this piece. Does the combination of p0a0d and p3000 mean something to someone??
Of course, i know the procedure to put it in but it seems like theres an .25 inch more that the plug should push down but wont. It's is also "different" and more difficult to remove than i know it should be. This battery pack has been removed, rebuilt, stolen from the trunk of my car, recovered, left outdoors, and abused in so many ways the metal has alot of give to it. So when i try to pull the plug out it almost pulls the whole electronics portion of the battery pack with it. In addition, i did some screwing around with vents and the fan and i see another post where this plug resulted in that code. Will check on my lunch break. Cant get Dr. prius to connect to my Wifi obd scanner :(

Well if that part of the battery case has been bashed about, you might need to be looking into whether that is material to your problem.

I'm not sure how we are supposed to know that if you don't say so in the first place.

....im not reckless for no reason, i didnt want to put the wrong bolt in and short/break something...in retrospect this is not logic. Over the years i think ive mixed up so many different screws with this pack. Anybody know the sizes and placement of all 100,000 screws by heart? Or if any particular screw is pivitol to functioning?

Also found an interested bit of info about the other original problem. If i dont step on the brake fully , it stops draining the battery while im stopped. This has to be enough info to point to the braking (maybe ABS) system as being the problem

If you have any trouble code showing with a little snowflake icon to its left, clicking the snowflake will show you a "freeze frame" of data saved at the time the code was set. INF codes (subcodes), if any, will be included in the freeze frame.
