2015 Prius 226,xxx miles. Have owned since 20,000 miles. Have done all maintenance myself(got a lil help with the EGR). Brake light comes on a few seconds later I get the ABS, TPMS and traction control. I have checked the fuses, checked the electrical connection from the brake fluid reservoir tank. Everything looks good. Got the codes read at AutoZone C1202 is the code they got. I tried with my Bluetooth dongle I got nothing.
While I was inspecting the wheel speed sensors I found I have a slice in the driver's side CV axle leaking little fluid. Could that be part of my issue?
    Anyone chime in!
    Thanks in Advance!

If you have a "slice" in the cv boot, perhaps the abs sensor cable was damage also by whatever
damaged the boot. You need a reader than can read the ABS system.
Maybe the brake fluid level is low? Check your brake pad thickness, the pads could be low.
You didn't mention how many miles on the car.

226K look for wheel sensor grey wire damage . Look carefully . Brake pedal is normal pressures thru out range of motion??? Like always?

1202 talks about fluid level sensed low . It states resvoir I guess if air got in system I could get a false code of level change . I believe theyres a sensor on the resvoir itself. Is it disconnected ? Loose. Broken?

Mileage is in the first sentence. I did the brake pads about 3 months ago. You do have a valid point about the speed sensor getting cut because the CV joint got cut. I'm going to check on that today. I thought there would be an error code for the sensor. The code that AutoZone pulled up is c1202. That was all in my original post LOL

Brake pressure is normal minus the abs and Regen not kicking in. I do hear the abs pump when I fully depress the brake pedal all the way to the floor.

I have checked that. I checked were that sensor plugs in just above the driver's side shock area. I cleaned the connection just in case. I think I will check the continuity on that after removing the wheel and definitely checking out the speed sensor. I really thought the speed sensor would throw a code.

Keep in mind a computer doesn't know anything more than the information it can get.

The skid ECU isn't connected to the brake fluid level. It's connected to wiring, that goes to a switch, that senses a float, riding on the brake fluid level. So when it says C1202, the issue is somewhere in all of that, and a human needs to figure out where.

Just an update. This evening I took the wheel off, took the speed sensor out cleaned it the best I could they were dirty. I also made sure of the caliper pins were working well. Basically I disassembled the braking system in the front. Everything down to the caliper bracket. Cleaned it all put it back together. I unpluged the negative cable on the battery. I did end up snapping a lug to the axle bearing. So it took a lot longer than I expected! The car was probably unplugged with no power for about 5 hours. Nothing is lit on the dash yet I'm sure it's going to take time for the codes to come back. I'm hoping they don't tho LOL! Will keep you posted!

Generally it'd be pretty quick return . Dirt could do it. Our car is hosed off daily leaving and returning to driveway. Yeah we're just weird

I go through the car wash 2 to 4 times a week. It doesn't under spray it though. Do you know if the speed / ABS brake sensors are just open to the elements?

Have you seen any trouble codes that even have anything to do with the ABS speed sensors?

In the rear the ABS business is all built into the rear bearing assembly It slides in back there or you see the mess plug in behind it. The front is kind of the same way I'll have to look at my front hub assembly sitting on the porch when I get back to the house but I believe it's pretty enclosed it's not really sitting in the elements per se and like I say I wash my car off a million times a week like every day coming and going from my dirt driveway or rock driveway. So literally twice a day my cars getting hosed off where I'm leaning down and squirting underneath the back end axle and each wheel assembly and tire going from the back side of the wheel tires shooting through the front twice a day. 270,000 mi I think on er. So far never even seen an ABS code or any of that. I am getting ready to change all four hubs they're sitting here on the ready just have to make the time to smack em in

I changed the hubs about a year ago. I used Timken. My front passenger wheel had a steady hum. Pretty sure it was in an accident before I purchased it. Find crap like that years later really shows you how well these cars are built.

Nope only code ever was C1202 just a few days ago. I am waiting for the code to come back. My scan tool won't read anything to do with the brake system. I got that code from AutoZone. I am thinking about purchasing a scan tool that will read and delete brake system codes. Going to look now.

What's convenient about brake system codes is you can read them by counting light blinks, with a jumper wire between Tc and CG, without needing any scan tool at all. Scan tool is more convenient, but at least you never have to go without knowing the brake codes.
