I think they put something like this product on the catalytic converter.

    The Catlock 3.0

With all the loose cables, it's no wonder there are vibrations transmitted to the cabin.

Also, the cat thieves may still cut the cat free from the exhaust system, but maybe leave it dangling under the car if the device works? It doesn't block access to the areas that thieves normally cut through to steal the catalytic converter.

Here's a picture of the product, in case the link above doesn't appear: Screenshot_20220106-083030_Amazon%20Shopping.jpeg

Its raining very heavy at the moment so will check later. Typically I have no information from the Toyota dealer about which version of Catlock is fitted but as it was done mid December 2021 I guess it should be the latest version.

Thanks for the suggestion. I am having difficulty seeing or understanding what are radial bends. Are they the small circular indentations (the best that I can describe them!)

Your story makes it easier for us to not feel sorry for the thieves who were crushed while trying to steal a cat.

Just got mine stolen last night. SE London.
    Thinking of selling the car.
That brakes my heart as I've been looking after this car since 2016, servicing it myself. Just reached 90K with still plenty of life left.
It looks and drives pretty well but I have no nerves for that.
I am sure I won't buy any Toyota again.

I am in the same boat now - wanting to sell the car. The difference is mine has no CC as parasites stole it last night. What car did you get instead, please?
