Prius Brake Questions - Regen? ABS Module?

    Probably 6 years old. When I first started driving it after sitting, I think resting was high 11. Even when driving though and having plenty of juice it's going crazy. I know, the battery is going to be replaced soon. This used one I put on is even worse than my original bad one. lol

    Yeah, this is not a battery issue, it's a brake issue.

    You might consider a possible battery issue if the pump were running for a long time, like a dying windup toy, without reaching pressure and shutting off.

    But if the pump cycles, reaches pressure, shuts off, then cycles again ... that pressure has actually gone somewhere. It's not some mirage caused by a tired battery.

    I have a new pump on it's way. All the battery lights just came on today. I'm impressed it took this long for them to come on. Probably about 300 miles after putting in a used bad one.

    Some people believe that there could be a correlation between a low 12v and earlier failure. Though your 12 might be fine, you may want to consider replacing the 12v when you replace the brake pump again.

    I don't remember. The 3 that are all near each other. ABS, brake, vsc. It's all good. I expected it. Will be getting the abs module tomorrow.

    The bad module is getting annoying. It won't STFU. lol. It's torturing me!!!

    The brand new one has been installed. Bye bye annoying noise! Everything works great now.

    Just a tip for anyone bleeding the brakes. No need to rush. Even when you think you have all the air out in each step of Techstream, do a few more times. There were a few times where I decided to do an extra pump/loosen bleeder although it appeared to be good. There would still be a little air.

    The jerking brake issue at slow speeds is gone too.
