<_< I had two extra "Center Buttons" ["Ornament Sub-Assemblies" Part 42603-52030] for my 2004 Prius and tried them after removing the 2007 Touring wheel covers. Here are photos showing both ways. What do you think? If I prefer "covers off," I will purchase two more and remove all the wheel covers.

My first impression: I prefer WITH the wheel covers.

I like the plastic cover design but the gunmetal alloy matches well with Driftwood.

:) Hi Tideland... I believe the "Gunmetal" color of the bare Touring wheels would look great with a black or gray Prius, too. I might add, the "Gunmetal" finish is metallic not just flat gray.

I don't like the bare alloys; they look somehow unfinished, even with the center cap.

If they were a nice bright silver, though, they might look better.

I'm waiting for delivery of the center caps for my Magnetic Grey Touring. Once they get here the wheel covers will get packed away in the basement. BTW, if you are still looking for center caps try Toyotaoemparts.com. They were about $10.00 each.

Same here: I've ordered the caps and I will try on my silver touring to see how it looks with the covers off. I doubt it will look as well matched to the magnetic grey though.

I have an 06 so I love this car, but I heard from my dealer that the "new" 07' wheel cover design plastic is discoloring or something? Not sure about it...

The hubs need to be anodized or chromed or something... they do look unfinished :(

The dealership that sold me my Prius had a number of Touring models with the wheels chromed. It looked pretty good on the darker colors especially.

On. Looks much more refined and decent. Though the gunmetal rims do give ya a 'drifter' look. ;)

I will leave mine on, but that is a personal choice. I think removed looks unfinished as some of the other posters said. I am sure you will do what you like the best.

Charles - did you post a picture of your alloy wheels with the ornaments/center caps? I'm not seeing it in the post, and am very interested.

I just received my '07 Touring Driftwood Pearl as well, and am looking for where I can purchase caps for the alloy wheels.

what does the touring look with the "caps off" or whatever? i keep hearing you can remove something but i'm confused and would like to see what it looks like.

can someone please post an example pic? i can't find one, and the pics in the first post have expired.

yeah, i think i will leave mine on. doesn't look bad with the metallic grey though. still think its cleaner in its normal state, however.
