Intermittent grinding noise accelerating from full stop

    My 2008 makes a grinding sound sometimes when I accelerate from a full stop. I feel it vibrate the floor and gas pedal. It happens more often when it's hot (in the 90's) and I've been on the freeway for a while. Also seemed to happen more when the car is full of people. Been SLOWLY getting more frequent and noticeable for six months now.

    I have a recording of the sound but don't see how to upload it. I see the "upload a file" button but it won't let me select audio files.

    Mio 9 is doing this now Even though the brakes pad material is new the rest of the brakes are not probably time for a set of rotors at 300,000 and at that time I'll put another set of better quality pads on this is all in the front The back drum brakes have no problems as most don't they just sit there The fronts because they're not used so much unless you're slamming the pedal to the floor I don't know they tend to build up crud rust whatever on them and then they go to making little noises sometimes not a lot but they will do it especially if you're spending all your time in city driving situations backing out of parking lots never going over 40 or not much whatever you'll notice this a lot more Best thing to do is two three times a day Make sure you stomp your pedal all the way down in the pads do some work not just the electric motors or motor

    Up in the top PriusChat banner you can see a Media tab. In the Media section, I believe you can upload an audio file. Then you can link to it here.

    Or you can zip the audio file and upload that. You're allowed to upload a zip file. Of course that's a little more work for others who have to download it and unzip it and play it.
