    Being in the IT industry I kinda need to know a bit about myspace, and I have concluded I don't know much as my page is quite plain... :D

    I have a friend who applied to a police dept. She told me first thing they did was hand her a printed version of her myspace page when she went to the interview. She didn't get the job.

    I background my recruiters hehe. Its hard to believe how many people use their actual name in there. All you need to know is name +- age and a geographical location and voila!!! You have found the person.

    Well of course they check Myspace. It's a forum to see what your employees are doing in their free time. Yes, I am on Myspace. I use it to keep in touch with my friends from back home and Europe so it's a pretty plain page. My friends however cannot say the same. Some of my friends have all kinds of incriminating photos and what not on their pages. I'm surprised half of them haven't been fired from their jobs yet. Although none of us have real grown up jobs yet so that may be why :)
