I think it's the same kind of dark translucent plastic in Prius Prime.

LOL, no, I paid the $410 DMV fee and the $8.00 credit-card service fee and got my orange 2023 sticker last month. Last year, it was light green.

Speaking of driving with expired tags, once someone peeled off my sticker, and a sheriff deputy saw that and stopped me. After I explained him the situation, he was cool though. I had to pay ~ $25 to get a replacement sticker.

 

Your Prime doesn't have the Toyota emblem mounted on the glass.

 

If a window is slim enough it gets unusable?

 

I hope it's not like the concept pictures.. if so it'll be the ugliest prius to date since the first gen. Guess we'll have to wait and see.

 

I believe its piano black plastic to make the Toyota symbol and taillights float. Trying to find the bestcarweb.jp article that confirms it. And yes on my Prius Prime that lower glass below the spoiler/light bar was glass. There seems to be more curves in the tail area than the bestcarweb.jp render, especially below the Prius lettering. bestcarweb.jp reported says its very Crown like inside.

From the recent reviewers of the Crown though, it won't be that luxurious as many of them opined the Venza has a better interior. We'll have to wait for the likes of Kirk Kreifels and others who are being flown out to the LA Auto Show where it will be unveiled to find out if it is indeed Crown like.

I wonder why they chose a boring silver for the preview pictures.

 

Look around any Walmart / costco parking lot .... most car colors nowadays are in the gray spectrum of which silver is often the first or second choice people buy for a reason.

 

Because bold is scary.
