YES! I'm also experiencing the same issue as a lot of other owners here. Let's do this!

The Blizzard Pearl paint on my 2010 started peeling off perhaps a year ago. Last week, I lost a sheet of paint the size of a sheet of paper.

We also have a 2019 Pearl white Highlander, hopefully it doesn’t start doing this in 5 years.

...and my 2011 recently started losing clearcoat off the roof in several places simultaneously. It's still good everywhere else---so far.

The peeling is now behind the passenger window and heading towards the roof. Been thinking about a new car but it sure won't be a Toyota! I sold my 73 4Runner to the guy across the street and the paint on it still shines like factory new!

Like others in this thread, the Blizzard Pearl paint on the roof of my 2012 Prius is peeling- in my case underneath the windows of all four doors. In addition to the peeling paint on the doors, the paint on the roof is failing as well- there are little black nicks all over the roof. I got a quote from a local Toyota dealership to repaint the roof and all four doors- the total was $4,950. That is more than I want to pay and it looks unlikely that Toyota is going to cover repairs for the defective paint anytime soon. Accordingly I'm looking for advice on other options. Could I use the paint touch up pens for the places where the paint has peeled underneath the doors? For the roof, I'm resigned to having it professionally repainted as the paint is deteriorating all over.

I would use paint touch up, it will not look good, but at least it will not rust.

I have had to use it on my 2012 Prius C, it has a few paint chips.

My October 2022 update. Paint is now flaking off other parts of the car. The paint will come away from the primer below in large pieces for no apparent reason. A week ago I found three new 1 inch by 2 inch pieces of paint laying on the driveway. When this started to happen I thought I would have the sections repainted. I see now that would be a mistake as other areas of the car that look fine now will have paint coming off also. My take is that the paint on the entire car is not bonded to the primer, if that is what it is. The only plus side of all this is that the gray surface below the white paint does not rust. Someday the entire car will be gray! To BoldRoot who posted above, you may as well get used to it as the condition is just getting started on your car.

Post 19 (by @ETC(SS)) has some info a lawyer could use: fleet purchase of blizzard pearl, ALL peeling.

You had to pay a premium for that colour too.

Toyota doesn’t want to know about it? Food for thought, next time you’re car shopping…

Except they’re all cut from the same cloth?

I recently purchased a used 2010 in blizzard white. I had some minor peeling along the top of the passenger side doors and seemed to be fairly stable. After a recent spate of rainy weather. I noticed additional peeling along the passenger side of the roof outboard of the drip strip. If there ‘s any sort of group action going on here, I’d be interested.

That'd be good; it stinks that Toyota acknowledges the problem with other vehicles, but not with Prius.

I also have a 2010 with pealing paint. I know a lot of people want Toyota to pay but, how long should paint last? Lifetime? Our cars are 12 years old now.

But one particular colour, falling off in sheets? To add insult to injury, you paid EXTRA for that colour.

If you don't have the colour obviously motivation falls off. But still, next time you're car shopping, keep in mind how Toyota treated buyers of 3rd gen Blizzard Pearl Prius.

Now my Blizzard Pearl 2010 is doing it too, on the right front door pillar. Since no one has reported having any luck getting a fix from Toyota, I guess I'll order some spray paint, sand it, mask it off, spray it and clear coat it. Darn it, I'm picky about this car, I hate that it's doing this. I wish I had known, I'd have looked for a similar car in silver. This is my third white car from Japan, the other two never gave me fits with the paint.
I wish Toyota would do better, they have a reputation to protect.

I have Legal Shield, maybe I'll call them tomorrow about this. Barring any legal results, if the whole darn car peels, I might just have the grey clear coated and drive a medium gray car! There isn't a spot of rust on it. Maybe with some fancy pinstriping?
    Nothing lasts forever, does it?

We wanted Blizzard Pearl, none were on the lot, settled for a Classic Silver Metallic, bloody lucky. I hope you get somewhere: IIRC Toyota HAS acknowledged an issue with other models, but not Prius. I doubt that acknowledgment came willingly.
