Pulled the Hybrid fan out and found very little dirty and some dust. Cleaned the fan and put it back. Honestly don't think this amount of dust has will improve my mpg or Hybrid battery life. 20220612_142300.jpg 20220612_145648.jpg 20220612_142252.jpg

Toyota offers a plastic snap in filter that should help to keep dog hair out. For Gen 3 2012, the part number is G92DH47010. I believe other generations have similar parts available.

The OP left that post only after (one?) "a couple hour long drives". That was a very small sample size to say whether that 17% boost was just an usual fluctuation. And the OP never posted back on this thread.

In my understanding, a clogged battery fan would cause the hybrid battery's temperature to raise, but not sure by how much. And even that higher-than-usual temperature might "just" possibly reduce the hybrid module's longevity, but I do not see a link to better MPG.
