Has anybody installed these on their Gen 3 before, and can you offer up any tips on the install? Thanks!

Well, dont everyone come rushing at once or anything

I installed them today, my god was it EASY. I have attached the installation instructions from Toyota in PDF format to this post to anybody looking in the future

The hardest part was pulling off the trim, honestly. The T-Taps Toyota provides with the kit mesh perfectly with the wiring harness of the illumiunated front sills. I paid $89 for the kit on eBay a while back, free shipping, and it was new unopened in the OEM Toyota box. Highly recommended - It works perfectly and looks oh so cool. :D

I’ve got those, but they were on the car when we bought, not sure if factory or dealership install (suspect the former). My 2 cents: Toyota should install practical/protective, non-illuminated threshold guards on all levels.

Thanks for the pdf, will salt it away.

    Hello!
So I just purchased this kit from a local dealer for an incredible deal (about $70 USD) and went to install them on my 2015 using the instructions posted here and I'm baffled. The wires stated in the instructions are completely different colors then what my car has in the spots indicated on the instructions. I will try to take pictures of the wiring harnesses when it's light out, but now I'm just confused and don't want to tap into the wrong wires.

Were the wires on yours the same as indicated in the instructions?

Edit: I was able to take photos of the passenger side harness. Will do the driver's side one tomorrow hopefully.

I dont know if you were able to figure it out by now, but I can see the blue and red wire outline in the instructions in your pictures quite easily.

I was able to figure it out, thank you!
I was definitely confused at first when reading the instructions since it showed/stated white wires with marks. Obviously at some point that was changed and once I saw the corresponding wires on the sills, it became very clear which wire went where.

They're definitely very cool! And because I got them at such a great deal, I'm even happier!
It really was more for just my own satisfaction and making the car my own... definitely wish I had a nice budget to do some more stuff like I see on here.

Thanks for the info. Post some night time photos so we can see what they're like when lit up!

Anybody know if there is something like this for the 2023? Or would these work on 2023?

Nothing in Canada yet - just regular stainless steel door sill protectors.
