    Hey all,
I’m looking at purchasing a 2004 Prius with 133k miles on it for $6.6k. However it has this odd buzzing noise every 10 seconds or so when I’m driving and when the car is in idle. The mechanic said it’s the ABS pump. Any thoughts or knowledge? Would this be an expensive repair?
    Thanks!

I just had mine done for $1200+ I tried to do it myself but the "new" ABS pump turned out to be a dud. When I tried to bleed the brakes the front brakes bled but the rears never did, thus I had to take it to my local Prius guru and he installed a used pump and bled the brakes. Trying to save a few bucks actually cost me a few more.

Think long and hard about the sales price. To me it's a little high for the age of the car. A 19YO car for $6K? Yea, I'd be leary of that price knowing you'll have to put extra $$ into it. Do research on how long the battery lasts on this particular model. Hate to think that you'll also have to replace some modules in it.
