Put me on the list of those who believe that your 2021 “will not” trade at $36k
My vote is well under $30k, at best
IMHO….Trade-ins are falling fast in this economy becuz nobody has any money

Nobody has money—true—but no dealer has a new car—also true.

I go with whatever trade-in value is in KBB. It is still at $36k, but the value drops with mileage; so, perhaps it will be more like $34–35k by the time I get to trade in.

Under $30k? No way. It is a Limited trim in pristine condition. If I don't get what KBB lists, there won't be a deal.

I saw a bz4x parked in creekside mall, Coquitlam. Excuse my ignorance; how rare are they? Quite angular, Lexus-like. Colour i don’t quite recollect; I’ll go with kinda a khaki metallic, but I think there were swaths of some contrasting tone. I could be making this up, but I did check the badge lol.

I’ll take a look through the linked, but just judging from pics, I think heat/vent controls are touchscreen only.

I only have the data point that Toyota didn’t have a BZ4X at the Chicago Auto Show.
    I suspect you found a unicorn ;)

Culver City Toyota has the LE at msrp. They've sold 3 LE models.

I spoke to Culver City to try and get a price match and they wanted 4K over msrp, with it due to arrive in port today.

With that being said, best deal I could find, and actually took, was 2k over MSRP on a cutting edge LE that was due to arrive in port yesterday, and as far as I know, did. Do not like paying over MSRP, but my 2010 died on me and needed a quick replacement.

I have seen exactly ONE bz4x in real life as well, when I was in Montreal visiting family in November. But there is a good reason for that, since they are are available for sale in Quebec and not Ontario, at this time. o_O

I thought it was ok looking, but I would prefer a Prime (either Prius or RAV4) over one of those, personally. :)

For Canada, Quebec and BC only so far. Allegedly going to be available to the rest of Canada in spring. The whole ‘wheels falling off’ thing delayed release.

There are any # of Toronto dealerships that will happily take your deposit to put you on their pre order list… in anticipation of actually being able to order a car for you.

They list MSRP does not mean that they are selling at MSRP. I don't think they've got the cars yet. Give them a call and find out.

I am pretty sure that there is about a $5,000 markup and the cars are at least two weeks away.

I bought my silver 2020 Prius Prime XLE from them, and I used to buy parts from them all the time, as I used to live just about a mile away. They went through an ownership change quite a while back.

In fact, if you actually click on the vehicles, this is their disclosure:

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The amount listed above is a Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price and does not include dealer-installed accessories. The sales price for this vehicle may be subject to a market increase. Contact dealer for actual sales price.

    In Transit
Vehicle may be in transit. Contact dealer to confirm availability date.
This is going to sell soon.
238 people have recently viewed it.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Oh, yes, Culver City Toyota also always has thousands-of-dollars-worth dealer-installed accessories in addition to the factory (port-installed) accessories, effectively raising the markup to around $8,000 above the sticker price with factory accessories. Good luck trying to have them removed. Perhaps they will remove one of the about five dealer-installed accessories they added.

You could probably negotiate it down to $7,000 if you agree on multiyear service agreements, paint protection, etc. ;)

$4k markup + $4k dealer-installed accessories, the latter of which are only disclosed when you are about the sign the paperwork.

What dealer did you get your Prius from? Also does the LE have a physical key to start the car or is the key fob used? Thanks.

Which dealer was that? I hope they don't force add-ons when you actually go to pay for the car.

No Prius has a physical key. They all have the same smart key. The only the difference is that the LE/SE have a wireless receiver only at the driver's door, as opposed to at three doors for the higher trims. As a result, on the LE/SE, you need to press the unlock button on the smart key to unlock the doors if you aren't entering through the driver's door.

I’ve stopped calling them after the second “next week” and in the last few days more dealers around me here in Orange County SoCal called me they have them on the way: LE, LE AWD, XLE …

The good news is my dealer just called me my car is “on the truck” and should be here in 3 days. He told me he didn’t call me until they have my car “on the truck”. It’s been a month and cost for rental is giving me a huge bite in my pocket.

Just hope he’s right this time.
