Parents were down to one car, and decided to pick up something used for a second car. My father tried a Miata, and liked it, but had to crawl out of it, and then stand up.:D

    Lol:ROFLMAO:

Before getting my 2nd Gen Prius, I used to drive a 96 Integra LS (w/moonroof), back in my single (and newlywed) days… that was a considerably lower car with less headroom, and at 6’2” I did fit… barely. Lol. Let’s say my hair was real close to the roof, but I loved that car.

May I ask….since there’s a manual seat adjustment on the passenger side…is there a manual height adjustment lever on that side? Can you raise the passenger seat up? Thx!

Sorry I don’t remember! When trying to find the power buttons for the seat and was disappointed it’s manual then not paying attention about anything esle. Again, I’m short so it’s fine to me.

And it’s my daughter’s car so if nobody can answer I can call her to check. Or may be tell her to come over so I can enjoy driving it one more time.

Thx so much….a call to the daughter would be appreciated. When the passenger seat is manually operated, many can go the entire length of ownership without realizing that it’s possible to be much more comfy by using the ratchet control to raise it up a bit. I’m hoping this is standard on the ‘23 Prius! Thank you.

FWIW, on our '10 only the driver's seat is height adjustable; front passenger seat height is fixed. This was kind of handy, comparing head room on models with/without sunroof.

The above video at 3:33 should give you the answer to your question. :)

Yup! Thx so much….I think that this is the first Prius with a height adjustable passenger seat! That suits me fine.

I see on the Toyota inventory site that Gen 5 Priuses are selling like hotcakes.

Pent up demand. The real measure of success is if the gen5 can outsell the gen4 over multiple years.

Not unexpected. The question is, will Toyota ever make enough to satisfy demand

That won’t be hard at all, if you look at the sales numbers for Gen 4 they were quite bad, it’s why Toyota HAD to go so sexy if they were going to keep them the brand alive.
Gen 4 only really became a hot seller after that period when Gas prices went sky high. Before that the used prices were pretttty bad.

I didn't need or want gen 4, when first saw Prius and Prime I can't stand their back lights designs.

You get used t it after a while. Besides, as the driver you hardly ever see the tail lights in action. :)

Actually Prius Prime's taillight design is very nice. I liked it a lot from the first time I saw it.

We just had an awful hailstorm here. The current batch of 2023 Priuses at the Port of Long Beach might have suffered damages. I am glad my car was garaged.

Longo just received "10–15" of them—of course all presold, not showing on the inventory or their website. If you want no markup, you will have to get on the waiting list.

I created an account just to ask you how you discovered this info. I am currently on their waitlist and the sales rep is not responding to me. I think I am #700+ on the list.

They have about a dozen or more sales representatives. Mine is very helpful. I bought my 2021 Prius Prime Limited from him. We were texting back and forth today, and then he called me. I am at or near the top of the waiting list for a black Prius Prime SE. I placed my order in February 2022, originally for a 2022 Prius Prime Limited, for which l Iuckily didn't make it past #24 or so due to high demand and low supply for Limited, and he called me and I changed it to a Gen 5 Prius Prime SE, which automatically moved me to #1 due to low demand and high supply for Gen 4 Prius Prime LE. Your place on the list is solely determined by your order date, and you can change the model while you're on the list. I hope this helps. Gotta love the car-shopping games. ;)
