What wear parts? I haven't had to replace anything expensive since my daughter bought her car 80,000 miles ago (304,000 currently on the ODO.) Spark plugs were $4 each. Haven't seen a spark plug at that price for a long time.

Besides that the parts last forever.

Yeah, there are some expensive components in a Prius but I wouldn't consider any of them to be "wear items". Oil, filters, brakes, and tires are all fairly inexpensive. The stuff that is expensive are things like the HV battery and brake accumulator, but those are not what I would consider wear items. They're things that might get replaced once every 15 or 20 years.

HV battery and brake booster are ready for replacement on a 2009. As well as the 12v battery and various water pumps. Paying double what an 09 is worth while facing reliability and financial expenses is not advisable. Especially if you sign up for three years at $400 a month.

Which is what the Op asked.

Its not a bash on all of us who already own one and probably had a good run when our cars were relatively new. Low miles on a Prius is often offset by age. I may have saved $5k in gas on my 08 but I sold it before the expensive wear items hit. I may have saved $10k with my 2012 but I have put most of that back between 150k-220k. Along with inconvenience caused by downtime. At least I was not making payments when the major expenses hit.

Checked the Cars by the dealer you recommended. Looks like he is by Prius for very cheap. I see all the car's interiors are beaten up, and repairs require mechanical and sell it. I want clean vehicles. Thanks for their recommendation. I will keep looking. He has something good.

Here in Cali you will never see a 09 going for that much money even with that low miles (rare). But totally your call if you feel its been babied.
