Has anyone yet discovered how to hack into the navigation override for an 07? I'm not confident enough to play in that diagnostics screen. If anyone can disable their car, it's me.

Not yet with a software hack. If there was one for the 2006, it should work with the 2007.

At the moment, cutting the speed sensor wire and installing a switch is the only way.

You mean even Coastal Tech can't sell a lockpick for the 07 (or 06, either)?

Right. You see the lockpick that works for the 2004-2005 is nothing more than a program that duplicates the software hack that was discovered back in July 2005. Since that trick doesn't work on the 2006-2007, the lockpick won't work.

Once a trick for the 2006-2007 is found, I'm sure Coastal will make one just for them.

    Bump!

I want one too! It's a pain that I can't add a new POI (like a coffee house) whilst on the move. At least I assume I can't - help?

Hi kayemarschke2, welcome to PriusChat. Everything here in the way of opinions and advice is free, and worth every penny! Your milage may vary. Use at your own risk.

There is a wealth of information about Prius (Prii) here, most of it really good. There are several Prius techs who hang out, and Galaxee, whose husband is a Hybrid diagnostic whiz, so the usual answers are right. There is also advice that Toyota won't give you, like how to disable the internal infernal beep from the speakers when backing up. Use the Search function at the top of every page.

Feel free to ask questions. Congratulations on your new car!

Oh, and there are things to buy from the Prius Accessories link if you want to spend money.
