Lately, I've been having to press the Power button twice in order for the car to actually turn off. It always did this every once in a great while, but now that it's colder, it seems to do it every single time. I can start it with one push, no problem.

    Any idea what's going on?

I have also had this problem lately. Need to hit the power button twice.

Hmmmmm ... I'll have to keep an eye on this one. It hasn't happened to me yet.

I haven't experienced it either, except for the random time when i probably hit it too quickly. maybe you're just not holding the button in long enough?

(and trust me, it's been plenty cold up here...)

I thought of that, so I've been deliberately making sure I hit it properly. Nothing (until I hit it again).

Also, like I said this never happens when I start the car; statistically, it should be happening just as much if it were my pressing style.

My two cents worth. I think this is correct but I don't have any technical data to back it up:

The power button is just a contact closure and does exactly the same thing each time you push the button. Rather you are starting the car (brake switch activated), going to the acc mode, going to the pwr on mode, or turning the car off it does the same thing. Because you only have a problem when you are shutting the car off I think it is safe to assume the problem is in whatever the button goes to (i.e. one of the computers) rather than the button its self or the wires and connectors.

I have seen ICs fail when they get to cold as well as to hot. Sometimes they "fix themselves" when they warm up again. But I think when they have this sort of problem they will always have a hard failure sometime in the future.

Since dealers don't fix what is inside the black box the fix for this problem would be to replace whatever computer is involved. If the vehicle is still under warranty I would take it in and see what they will do.
