Air Conditioner compressor noise

    Did you ever find out what was wrong with your a/c unit? My 2013 is doing the exact same thing.

    Taking a listen with the hood up might be all you need to pin down whether the noise is the compressor or the fan.

    Or if you have a scan tool that can do active tests (or you have Techstream, or know someone who does), tell it to turn the fan on without the compressor, and see if you hear the noise.

    Or temporarily pull the fuse for the fans and run the A/C, and see if you hear the noise.
