best oil and oil filter for Prius

    Shops get those Valvoline and Havoline stickers from local jobbers. I would not bet that just because one says a particular brand...

    I use whatever decent brand oil and filter I find on sale. That may be Napa, Havoline, Costco. Filters I am a little more picky, but, again, Napa, Wix, Denso, eh...

    Hi Stevewoods,

    I hear ya but actually Valvoline 0W-20 was on the service invoice from the Toyota dealership for my first oil change under Toyota Care at 10K miles. At the second oil and filter change, 20K miles, they also used Valvoline 0W-20. I have never changed from Valvoline and have no complaints but then I religiously keep up the oil changes as needed. Thank you!
