That's the front pump cover for the pump that sits on top or right next to that coolant tank It knocked the pump in half It looks like to me or the rest of the pump is still sitting on its bracket right next to the coolant tank offer it up to the front and see if it fits of course it won't work I mean it's broken now You got to replace that pump You can take one from another car and on some models there's another one in between the brake actuator and the pump accumulator right behind the inverter can't miss it

Part of the pump, circled in yellow attached pic. Missing the portion to the right of the yellow circle.

Pic of my salvage CHS tank that I picked up for the PO's fender bender, I needed the cage surrounding the thermos, also had a minor dent in my thermos but was able to swap the cage without having to replace thermos and drain the coolant.

The pump sure ought to be but the tank and a lot of times I'll take a real good beating unless you get a hole in it from another piece of metal poking in it

my real concern now is this
    234722_81E01DF8-1388-4451-84FF-A018710FC0AD.jpeg
any ideas as to what parts need replaced to get that wheel back into some alignment? Or is this beyond hope? Lower control arm is bent, cv axel looks pushed back, the shock itself looks bent

Usually when this has happened to me the few times it has in Corollas and celicas I usually from another car on both the strut from the three nuts top of the strut tower take the lower control arm out of the frame leave the ball joint attached to the bottom of the strut and the knuckle attached to the strut the two big bolts so you're alignment is staying there You're not kicking that around then mount all that to the car and your last connection should be the control arm to the inner under the car bushings or if you feel that's not bent when you take everything loose it looks straight undo the ball joint off the control arm leave the control arm ball joint hub assembly and strut and even the sway bar end link come with you but I would think that lower control arm is bent so you would take it loose at the frame and leave everything back connected then when you offer all that up if it's not straight and you have to beat it in to get the bolts in the lower control arm and all that you'll be able to see about how far off it is. And then if you need to you can take it over to a frame shop and they can give it a quick snatch and get it real close and then maybe with some crash bolts which are like $27 that'll give you some camera adjustment and you should be able to get it aligned back up.

IF the frame isn't bent, then I would replace pretty much everything in those pictures.

The control arm, ball joint, steering knuckle, the strut (shock absorber and spring- probably on both sides to keep things even), the sway bar end link, the drive axle, and closely inspect all the brake parts, esp. the hose.

My recollection is that the inverter pump sits flat in the car, but in 234721_91BABD50-CAAA-466A-B92E-A308C061DE62.jpeg it is tilted up about 15 degrees. The structural element to which the thermos is attached is bent inwards at the bottom by about the same angle. The metal piece which runs from the radiator to the fender past the front of the fuse box looks like it might be bent slightly too, so that is curved downward a little more than normal.

That sounds super expensive and I might end up scrapping the whole car if all that is necessary. What is the drive axle?

I think this is a very detailed list of instructions, thank you, an impressive feat without the use of a single punctuation mark.

Nope you pull up into a yard like mine near you and buy all that stuff off of junk Prius sitting in someone's yard or wherever it might be I could have those parts tomorrow morning for $65 for all of it maybe 80 tops I know where there's two cars I can go probably get the stuff possibly for free and whatever else I thought I might want while I'm standing there that's why I always carry my electric impact wrench with me in the car so if I see something and I want a blast it apart real quick there you go I won't be there 45-50 minutes maybe 10

No shit? junkyard wont charge an arm and a leg for those parts? Nothing sucks more than getting a bunch of good parts, going to ring out and having to leave half your parts because of the price. Theres. a couple 05's locally here i can get to tommorrow.

Yes shockingly enough most of that stuff is going to add on to the weight of their scrap value LKQ will just about give away this stuff I can go pull the whole suspension leg off of a Prius right now if they have it especially a generation two and get the lower control arm the ball joint the hub and the strut for probably 50 bucks or something very silly That's not bent just sitting there I have to take it off granted but with my electric impact that will not take long I even bring my own little wagon with me so I'm not messing with the wheelbarrows and shit before wheel wheelbarrow that I can pull around with that stuff that I pick off on it usually I feel that wheelbarrow up and can barely pull it and when I get up to the parts counter at LKQ it's under a hundred bucks and I've got a thousand pounds on the wagon some stuff they give me especially electronic and ECUs and stuff like that they're like just keep that it plugs in we don't want it It's plastic doesn't weigh anything so it works out pretty well now I do know people that a few of the LKQs I go to and they will call me when a generation 2 or a generation 3 comes in pretty complete they'll call me while it's in the side lot so I can come strip it before it gets put out in the main lot there's a lot of this going on at LKQ yard people call me not management

You also have a bit of work to deal with the bent frame horn, bent upper rad support arm.

Yeah, I just checked my local junkyards and they want something like $100 just for the axle shaft, $70 for the lower control arm, it also seems like they pulled apart for you so that’s lame.… If I do have to end up, scrapping it, does anybody know where I can sell the cat, the inverter, the hybrid battery? Other than eBay/Facebook market
