I'm hoping someone here can help. I just got a 700p, and it linked with my '05 Prius easily. I can receive calls with no problem. But when I place a call, the only sounds eminate from the phone, not the Prius. Since others here say you've had no problem, am I doing something wrong?? If so, how do I fix this?
Many thanks in advance for any help,

Don't know if there's any interest, but I did solve the problem. Since the sound wouldn't come through the car speakers, I plugged in the ear bud to the Treo. Low and behold, the sound then came through the speakers. (!) I held my breath and unplugged the ear bud...the sound still came through the speakers, to my relief. I don't know WHY, but it has kept working since then.

Tried to edit this, but couldn't get it to work. The above is not correct. What I discovered is that on the Treo 700p, the phone must be turned on FIRST, before turning on BT. If done in reverse order, no sound comes through the Prius speakers. I also find that even if I link correctly, if I dial from the Treo, the sound comes from the phone only, not the Prius speakers. Has anyone else experienced this?

    Hi picc47,

I also have a Treo 700p and have experienced the same speaker sound cut-out with my 1-week-old '07 Prius. I've found that when this happens I need to do a regular reset of the phone and its OK. I'm not sure why this happens but I think it is a phone issue and not an issue with the car itself. The OS in the 700p seems to not be very reliable (resets every now and then), but hopefully Palm will fix this with an update...

Your problem is most likely that the earjack switch (that tells the phone if there's a earpiece in it, Palm has a unique way of doing it) it has a habit of getting stuck in the up position and the best way to clear it is to shove something up in the jack and pull it out.

As for everyone else, which carrier do you have; cause there's some updates for the Verizon version.

PS: in general, the current generation of Treo's do not work too well with the Prius, dispite saying that they are fully compatable.

My 700p works well, except when I receive a call, the wrong number displays on the mfd. Anyone know why? It displays the previously received call.
