Based on the above it is better to focus on connectors till certain that they are good.

In my case I have both c1467 and c1239. Red and yellow wheels with exclamation marks plus yellow ABS and slipping lights. During inspection both left side and right side have no detectible looseness. Both tires spin equally easily on the lift. Spinning the hubs quickly by hand with the wheels off produces a sound of the bearing elements (small cylinders) clicking together as if the hubs had a very light lubricant rather than a nice heavy bearing grease but otherwise both seem okay.

I have seen many appliance cords where the exterior has no sign of damage but the fine copper wires have all broken due to excess flexing at a particular point. On the rear wheels I imagine the worst point is the curve where the rear axel swings from the chassis. Has anyone had the connector wires fail at 100,000 km? Has anyone had the dry hub being a problem at this mileage?

This is an update: Turns out problem was indeed the hub speed sensor. Upon removal the hub had lots of corrosion in the cap area where the sensor is located and it is almost certain that some internal corrosion flakes got onto the magnetic pickups of the sensor. The wiring harness was fine. Replacing just the hub caused the related trouble codes and warning lights to disappear.
I used a Toyota OEM hub just to be sure.

Note that despite the constant flexing the wiring harness was not a problem. Proof it is well designed and secured for the application.
