After almost 12 years of faithful service, I had to say goodbye to my 2012 Prius due to the declining condition and repetitive costly repairs. I will miss it dearly and walking away from it at the dealership felt as though I was abandoning an old friend. That car served me well and saw me through good times and bad times and I was sad to let it go. I am truly grateful for the adventures in that car and for all of the help and assistance I received here over the years. Given the current market for the Prius in 2023 I have reluctantly opted not to buy another Prius. Best wishes to all the Prius drivers out there...

268,000 miles and still had original hybrid battery. Head gasket, water pump ($3000 repair) and then the ABS module and booster pump failed (would have cost $2,8000 to fix that). Combined with a battery that was way past its life and an oil leak and it just made sense to move on.
