i had the triangle come on vcs check engine and battery fan came on. i assumed a cell was bad i tested them all and they were around 8.19-8.25 except one that was 6.50. i replaced it and car is still doing the same thing so i retested all and they were 8.20-8.29

i need to get a obdII reader and see what codes its throwing, any recommendations on a decent but not to expensive reader or does anyone know what the problem could be?

Just want to make sure I get the right thing.. so if I get the Autel Ap200 it comes with its own app that can read codes and test the hybrid battery? Can the dr Prius app link with the autel?

For the Autel AP200, you buy the device and install the app. They only work with each other. This is a scantool- it lets you look at codes (including INF) and data for all systems on a Gen2. It doesn't "test" the high voltage battery.

If you want to use something like DrPrius, you need a different OBD device. For live monitoring of HV block voltages, Dr Prius is useful.
